You're right, that's a part of what the manosphere teaches. But it also adds on a lot of unhealthy and harmful attitudes and opinions about women the deeper you descend into it, which is what the author is trying to explain to us.

My advice is to take all the useful advice about personal development and ignore the stuff about women (of any criticism of other groups in society). Remember that many manosphere content creators are trying to monetise young men's rage, loneliness and fear to make money - they're pulling you in with helpful self-development advice, then keeping your attention by pressing your primal fear/rage buttons. It's a cheap trick.

Question everything, especially your heroes. Listen to alternative opinions - for example, if a lot of women are saying the manosphere is problematic and harmful, think it over, don't just immediately dismiss it out of hand. Avoid the "Us vs Them" mentality that seems so pervasive on the internet these days, because it makes a few people a lot of money.
