You're conveniently ignoring all the amazing things technology has, is and will do for us. We're living at the apex of human achievement, living lives free of pain, suffering, starvation, plagues etc etc, everything that mankind has suffered for hundreds of thousands of years.

Yet you insist on seeing the negatives. One thing that seems to be hardwired into our brains is that we expect to suffer, we seek out suffering where there is none. But look around you, the human race is doing great.
