Yes there is, your original comment on the writer's piece about editing was a correction. You were teaching Maria about writing, which is very arrogant of you. For example, you said:

"You avoid an absolute prohibition ("whenever possible"), so kudos. But without examples of its possibilities, only the prohibition is left."

You are correcting her by teaching her how to write. But she is a far superior writer to you and doesn't want or need your advice. Stop.
