“To simply be better, and to control the irrational thoughts, words and actions will demonstrate true strength.”

I often struggle to control my irrational anger and irritation with life’s difficulties, both large and small. It’s a weakness in me that I’m working to improve through therapy and mindfulness. I’ve been thinking about other people’s hurtful actions recently, and I find it useful to view their behaviour as coming from a place of weakness. I’m not using the term ‘weakness’ as an insult or to belittle someone, I just find the term useful to encourage within me feelings of empathy and protection towards someone who is weak in certain ways and whose weaknesses cause them to do or say harmful things.

Great article :)
