Global poverty has been steadily falling for several decades (as one of many examples I could give you).

Humans always have an existential threat, be that plagues, bad harvests, wars, nuclear weapons or climate change. None of these threats has wiped us out becasue we are still here. I'm hopeful we will all pull through again as we always do. Your panic is not helping us to do that
