Tbh I would find this situation enjoyable! I'm neurodiverse so maybe that's the difference. My interview prep always involves me rehearsing common questions and answers, like an actor auditioning for a part - so an audition tape would be fine for me, it's already what I prepare for!

I see your point about interviews requiring at least two people. But the interview process has always been a deeply flawed way to find the best candidate for the job - it comes down mostly to speaking skills where the most charismatic candidate gets the job, not the most suitable. Some interviews have skills-based parts, but this is a whole other problematic topic.

As a neurodiverse person who has always struggled to articulate myself in the "right" ways to suit neurotypical interviewers, my experience is that if you say the right words, people hire you, if you don't, then they don't.

It's idiotic but the best system we have unfortunately. There are many systems and processes created by neurotypical employers that are just plain stupid - I realised years ago that employment is a game to be played, so learn to play the game well. This one-party interview thing is just a new game development.
