I've read many articles and comments here on Medium from many women in unhappy marriages that lasted for decades. It seems pretty common for people to stay in unsuitable marriages.

The length of a marriage bears no correlation to how happy it is. Maybe you have a happy marriage, I hope that's true, but your point does not mean what you think it means.
