Yeah you're still being dishonest. I would caution you to be more honest with yourself and others. Fake friends who are just waiting for their shot can be pretty destructive. Women deal with this stuff from guys all the time.

If you didn't have romantic feelings for your 'friend', why would you be 'OVER THE MOON' when you thought she was smitten with you? It doesn't make sense if you're just a 'friend'.
