The author is referring to the autistic experience, and uses examples from a speaker/writer who has both ADHD and Autism. The author counterpoints the autistic experience against the neurotypical experience. I don't understand why or how you believe that using the term 'neurotypical' invalidates the experience of neurodiverse people.
