I agree that it’s entitlement rather than gender, I’m 5'4" and have men and women walk at me expecting me to move when there’s no space on my side of the pavement. I rarely have issues with an individual walking towards me (and I’m always happy to move or shift aside for others), but couples holding hands are the worst — some couples just do not budge an inch! When I’m walking with my wife, one of us always moves aside for oncomers. Some people walk at my wife too, she’s 5'8", so I don’t think it’s even a height/size issue — some people are just arseholes.
