I agree, it's worrying that some parents would restrict toys or interests from children because of gender stereotypes, or tell a child they can't play with certain things. My 4-year-old son plays with a range of toys, including dolls, because he wants to, and his favourite colours are pink and purple. The only thing I'm worried about is other children at school shaming him for liking 'girls' stuff - but where did these children learn these rigid gender stereotypes? The parents of course!
