Great article, thanks for writing this. Alcohol is a hard drug and should be treated as such, alongside other hard drugs such as cocaine and heroin. Alcohol is at least as dangerous as cocaine and heroin, if not more so - this is not opinion, it's a provable fact.

Future generations will look back at our society's veneration of alcohol with disgust and bewilderment, similar to how we look back on the normalisation of smoking 70 years ago. Care for a cigarette in the hospital? Or perhaps you'd prefer to light one up on the plane?
