Talking about success, I read an article about Pablo Picasso recently. His immense success came at the expense of everyone close to him and he caused others a lot of pain and suffering in pursuit of his art. He obviously succeeded at being the best in art, but at what cost?

I’m an artist myself in my spare time and I have a good-paying day job that is interesting enough. I’d be very happy to do art full-time, but if the price of success is what Picasso’s family had to endure, I’ll be happy to die in obscurity.
