Good point, I agree. The height hang-ups we have as a society will be addressed over the next decade I believe. I notice that a lot of younger women are generally taller, but men don't seem to be getting taller - this is just my observations and not based on any actual data or studies. It will be interesting to see how it pans out.

I'm pretty short (5"5'), my ex was a few inches taller than me and I'd sometimes feel self-conscious, but generally I liked her height because it was part of her. I'd be happy to date a much taller woman, as long as she had confidence and could laugh about other people's reactions.

I have sympathy for women who make height a deal breaker because it suggests they are insecure, and they are losing out on a lot of potential matches.
