Good point about Bladerunner - when I watched it for the first time as a teenager, Deckard's abusive behaviour flew right over my head. But watching it again last year after some decades-long break, the misogyny was painful to see. Regarding Star Wars, the whole bad boy Han Solo thing was always cringey to me, even as a teenager. And I was obsessed with Star Wars at that time, a massive fan. Then again, Leia kissing her brother Luke was pretty awful too in retrospect.
But I highly recommend Bladerunner 2049 starring Ryan Gosling, no abuse in there and a great story, themes and visuals. Ryan Gosling is just amazing in everything and super attractive.
