Good advice, if a person doesn't want kids, then actually having a kid is very unlikely to convince them. The reason is simple - raising children is extremely hard work and requires sacrifice, so you have to be fully onboard before going ahead with it. Therefore, having a child to convince a partner is very risky - if the partner is not convinced, you can't put the baby back where it came from! You're now stuck with it.
