Brilliant insight, thank you - this part switched on the lightbulb for me:

"What they do know because they use it is how to fake outrage to get what they want. So they assume that’s what’s going on."

So that's why these white people keep classifying everything as 'outrage politics' all the damn time, as opposed to seeing the actual racism happening all around them. They literally cannot comprehend that racism exists and so use their own self-centered motivations to classify it.
